Kids and sports are both close to our hearts at Medic One.
We invest in both by sponsoring a number of youth baseball teams
in local communities around the area.
An 11 and 12-year-old Blytheville Little League team, a 7 a
nd 8-year-old team in Lake City, and a tee-ball team in Pocahontas
are all proud members of the Medic One baseball family. Were
also corporate sponsor of the Blytheville baseball league, and we support
Jonesboros 10 and 11-year-old baseball teams with field signage at Joe Mack
Campbell Park.
And we certainly dont discriminate against other sports!
Medic One is pleased to support teams in many of the communities we
serve, like sponsoring Pocahontas youth soccer program; and contributing
to both the Earl Bell youth football league and Manila youth football.
Medic One supports other Earl Bell activities, which include the Mr. Trophy Triathlon,
Cross county Triathlon and Fergus Snoddy Marathon. And of course, professionally
we provide stand-by ambulance service at numerous local schools for
football, basketball and baseball games.
Were so excited about our communities
youth sports that we recently purchased our own indoor pitching
machine! Housed at our South Caraway location in Jonesboro, we invite
players from our Medic One area youth baseball teams to come by and use
the machine any time.

Medic One provides ongoing support to Mothers of Angels, a non-profit organization supporting mothers who have experienced the loss of a child. Founded in September 2004, the group offers healing to all mothersthose going through recent losses or those who have suffered the loss of a child in the past.
Mothers of Angels volunteers provide assistance in a number of wayswith permanent markers for unmarked childrens graves; and memory boxes at St. Bernards for mothers who lose a baby at birth with a hand-crocheted blanket, hat and bootie inside.
Though volunteers are its lifeblood, Mothers of Angels could not provide these special services without generous donations. If you are interested in contributing, an account has been established at First National Bank under the name Mothers of Angels, or donations may be mailed to Mothers of Angels c/o Dora Edings, 2010 Greensboro Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72401. Benefiting the Better Life Counseling Center
Medic One is proud to serve as presenting sponsor for the Medic One Ride for a Better
Life benefiting the Better Life Counseling Center. This much-anticipated 10 mile, 25 mile
or 100k all-bicycle ride, held each fall, takes participants through the rolling hills of
scenic Crowleys Ridge in and around Jonesboro.
In addition to our sponsorship, Medic One employees also offer Support Aid Group
(SAG) support for riders, and our ambulances are on stand-by in case of an emergency
and to escort riders at the ride's start and finish.
All ride proceeds benefit the Better Life Counseling Center, a nonprofit faith-based
organization in Jonesboro that provides Christian counseling to families and individuals.
Moneys raised are directed to the Centers ‘Samaritan Fund’, established
to ensure no one will be turned away from counseling services for inability to pay.
The Ride for a Better Life is open to all riders, regardless of skill level.
For more information, to pre-register for this year's ride, or to lend your
support, please visit www.betterlife.org. Or, contact Tammy Evins at 870.935.4673
or tevins@betterlife.org.
